Design Your Own Apollo Martingale Collar
Our Apollo Martingale Collars, also known as Half Check or Slip Collars are handmade from 550 Paracord offering great strength and durability.
The Apollo design is ideal for Medium to X large sized dogs, with neck sizes available up to 62 cm (24" inches) and a collar width of 3.5 cm (1.5" inches).
This modern style of half check collar has none of the choking associated with the old style of choke chains. These collars give maximum control for those dogs that like to just keep on pulling.

Paracord collars are thicker than normal collars and therefore need to be made longer to compensate.
For a perfect fit, you must ensure to correctly measure your dog’s neck (not your old collar) with a cloth measuring tape. If you don’t have one, you can use a piece of string, which you can then lay out against a ruler. Place the tape tightly and snugly around the dog’s neck without causing the dog to choke. There should be no extra room between the measuring tape and the neck so therefore the “two fingers under the measuring tape” rule does not apply.
For thick-coated dogs, pull the tape through the coat and place as close to the skin as possible. For dogs with loose neck skin, pull the tape through the loose skin a little bit. If you measure outside of the loose skin or thick hair, the collar will probably be too big. The correct example of how to measure your dog’s neck. The measuring tape should be in the centre of the neck! Not behind the ears or at the base but right in the centre. This is how you get the correct measurements.
